In 1993, we introduced to South Africa an innovative range of cutting-edge wall coating solutions, using original Italian formulations and products. Today, the passion and dedication of a family business, combined with fifteen years’ industry experience, an exceptional product and an over-arching commitment to service, has made Comet Coatings International the preferred wall coatings.


Recent Growth: Comet Coatings is extremely active nationwide. Headquartered in Johannesburg, we have offices in Durban and Cape Town and our application areas include Gauteng, the Eastern Cape, the Western Cape, the Free State and KwaZulu-Natal. Comet Coatings has also initiated a strong international export drive, offering impeccable products and services to Kenya, Ghana, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda and Mozambique. We have secured many prestigious contracts in these countries by being able to provide superior coating as well as outstanding decorative and aesthetic finishes. On the back of this international strength, Comet Coatings recently finalized an exciting joint venture with leading Ugandan paint manufacturer, Sadolin Paints, to open dedicated offices in Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania.


Empowerment and Social Investment

In line with national guidelines on Employment Equity and Black Economic Empowerment, Comet Coatings International has taken advantage of South Africa’s economic, political and cultural restructuring and has deployed numerous processes to empower the previously disenfranchised.
 

A training workshop has been established at the Johannesburg office, where five to eight learners attend three-week sessions on the theory and application of specialized wall coatings.

 

Comet Coatings also contributes to the local community, sponsoring the promising White Breeze soccer team and the Italian Club Bedfordview Bowls Championship.
